2025 RBC Heritage Betting Preview

The dust has barely settled on Rory McIlroy’s stunning Masters victory, but the world of professional golf moves quickly, and the best players on the PGA Tour will be teeing it up this week at the PGA Tour’s latest Signature Event, the RBC Heritage.

Whilst McIlroy won’t be teeing it up this week, the stars will be on show and as is often the case with golf tournaments there is plenty of value to be found. Let’s look at the most interesting bets of the week.

RBC Heritage

Scottie Scheffler - 15/4

Whilst Scottie Scheffler doesn’t represent masses of value at the top of the market, there is a feeling that following a slow start to the season where he is still yet to win, this is a week where he will want to remind everyone as to who the best player in the game is.

Having enjoyed an historic 2024 where Scheffler won the Masters, Players Championship and the FedEx Championship for the first time, despite a string of decent finishes, Scheffler hasn’t quite been able to rekindle the magic that he was so often able to weave last season.

Scottie Scheffler - 154

Forced to miss the first few events of the season due to a hand injury he picked up over Christmas, Scheffler has played in seven events so far this season and has four top ten finishes, including in his last two starts.

Whilst some areas of his game still remain exemplary, such as his ability with his irons, in and around the greens Scheffler has been coming up just short and he will hope to unlock more improvement this week.

The winner of this tournament last year, this week represents a great opportunity for him to notch a first win of the season. The world is revelling in McIlroy mania, Scheffler will hope to remind everyone that he is the dominant man in the sport.

Shane Lowry - 22/1

Shane Lowry will head to the RBC Heritage looking to land a first ever Signature Event. The Irishman should head to the tournament motivated that his great friend, McIlroy was able to complete the career Grand Slam and this week should really suit his skill set.

With the RBC Heritage played amidst the coastal surroundings of Harbour Town Coastal Links, the coastal conditions and breeze should unlock his very best game.

Shane Lowry - 22/1

Lowry’s best effort of this year came at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the conditions should be very similar this week. A former winner of the Open, Lowry will hope that the breeze picks up this week, as it could be argued that nobody handles windier conditions better than the Irishman.

He does head to Harbour Town with some questions to answer following a disappointing showing in the final round of the Masters where he tumbled down the leaderboard. He will be hoping to bounce back here.

Xander Schauffele

Ahead of the defence of his PGA Championship in a few weeks time, Xander Schauffele will hope to build on his return from injury and take another step towards achieving his first victory of the season.

Having only made a handful of starts this season due to a nagging rib injury, it’s fair to say that Schauffele is still trying to find his A Game, but he took a big jump at the Masters last week.

Xander Schauffele

to post With everything looking a lot more fluent from tee to green, Schauffele looks to be getting better with each and every swing and looks ready to contend for titles once again.

Despite his reasonably slow start to the season, Schauffele still finds himself ranked third in the world and as the season progresses it's unlikely that he will be able to be backed at such an attractive price.

Russell Henley - 22/1

Russell Henley has long been regarded as a solid PGA player, but in the last eighteen months the American has taken huge strides in becoming one of the most solid players in the game.

Showing that he belonged at the highest level of the game when staring for America in their successful Presidents Cup campaign, he once again proved that he has become a major force in the game when landing the biggest title of his career at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

It's perhaps understandable that since making his breakthrough at Bay Hill, Henley has struggled a little and could only finish in a tie for 30th at the Players Championship and despite being many pundits' dark horse tip for the Masters, he would struggle on the Augusta greens and would go on to miss the cut.

Russell Henley - 221

After two poor weeks he will want to bounce back to his best and there is every reason to suggest that Harbour Town should suit his game.

Henley has long been regarded as one of the best approach players in the game and he often tops the ‘Shots Gained through Approach’ category. With a premium on iron play very much needed in order to be successful this week, keep an eye on Henley as he looks to have every opportunity to land a second Signature Event of the season.

Jason Day - 40/1

If you are looking to back a player at a price, the standout option looks to be Jason Day at odds of 40/1.

Having spent several years in the golfing wilderness, Day has now returned back to the upper echelons of the game and looks a contender each and every time he tees it up.

Ranked 31st in the world, Day found himself in and around the top of the leaderboard at the Masters and posted a very respectable eighth place finish. Day’s efforts at Augusta was his second top ten finish in his last three tournaments and a first win of the season looks like it could be close.

Jason Day - 401

Day finished just outside the top ten in last year’s tournament and will have hopes of being a real contender this week. At 40/1 he looks the best priced player in the field.
